Till Features
Everything you need at the counter
Designed to be quick for staff to learn and quick to serve customers with.
Scan or search
Scan a barcode with a USB or Bluetooth scanner, search by name or SKU, or browse products by category. Products with sizes or colours show each variation.
Cash, card and split payments
Take cash with change worked out for you, record card payments from your existing card machine, or split one sale across cash and card.
Receipts your way
Print an 80mm till receipt with your own footer message, email a receipt to the customer, or download it as a PDF.
Discounts under control
Staff can discount up to a maximum percentage you set. Give managers permission to go further or change prices.
Walk-in or named customers
Serve walk-in customers in one tap, or search and quick-add a customer so the sale appears in their history.
Stock that keeps up
Stock goes down the moment you sell. Choose whether the till warns you or blocks the sale when something is out of stock.
Built for speed
Keyboard shortcuts for busy counters, a basket that survives a page refresh, and a list of recent sales to reprint receipts.
Multiple shops
Running more than one location? Each sale is tagged to its shop so you can see takings for each one.
Misc items & price overrides
Sell a one-off item that isn't in your catalogue, (if you allow it), and let managers override a price at the till.
More Than A Till
Your till, invoices and online shop share one brain
Most small shops run a till, a separate invoicing app and a website that don't talk to each other. With Maxsello there's nothing to sync:
- Every till sale is saved as a paid invoice, so it shows up in your invoices list, customer history and accounts.
- Stock sold at the till is the same stock your online shop sells — no double-selling the last one.
- Sales reports combine till, invoice and online sales, with money received broken down by cash, card and other methods.
- Products, prices, barcodes and VAT rates are set up once and used everywhere.

FAQ
EPOS questions
How much does the Maxsello EPOS system cost?
The EPOS till is included in the Business plan, from £29.99 per month, together with invoicing, stock management and an online shop. There is no long-term contract.
What hardware do I need?
Just a tablet, laptop or PC with a web browser. Barcode scanners that work in keyboard mode (most USB and Bluetooth scanners) and receipt printers your device can print to are both supported. You do not have to buy hardware from us.
Does it work with my card machine?
Yes — keep using your existing card terminal. Take the payment on the card machine and record it as a card payment on the till, so your takings by payment method are always accurate.
Do I need an internet connection?
Yes. Maxsello is cloud-based, which is what keeps your till, stock, invoices and online shop in sync in real time. Your basket is saved on the device, so a page refresh will not lose a sale in progress.
Can I use it in more than one shop?
Yes. Add each shop location in settings, pick the shop on the till, and filter your sales reports by shop.
Can I give staff limited access?
Yes. Each staff member has their own login, and you choose who can use the till, the maximum discount staff can give, and who is allowed to go beyond it.
Is this a good EPOS for a small independent shop?
Maxsello is designed for independent UK shops, trade counters and small chains that want one simple system instead of a separate till, stock spreadsheet and website.
Works Together
One system, everything connected
Products, stock, customers and sales are shared across every part of Maxsello — nothing to re-type, nothing to sync.
